WHITE DOUBLES DOWN ON EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY FEATURE WINS

(EAGLE RIVER, WI) July 7 – It turned out to be a career night for Dustin White at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday night.
The hometown driver doubled up on feature wins at his home track. To start the night, White captured his second B modified feature of the season here.

Later in the evening, White sweated out numerous caution periods, and a fierce, late race charge by former track champion “Hot Rod” Snellenberger to capture his third IMCA stock car feature win of the year here.

White started third on the grid in the IMCA stock car main. A handful of cautions early on kept the pace slow, and White stalked early race leader Mitch Stankowski, and struck paydirt when he whisked past the Wausau driver on lap six to snag the lead.

Snellenberger, who started the contest in fifth, sliced his way up into the second spot by lap eight, and began chasing down White. Snellenberger, Wisconsin’s all-time winningest driver in the division, caught White on lap 13 and pressured the hometown Ace.

The pair traded the lead a handful of times over the next several circuits. On a restart with five laps remaining, Snellenberger snuck down into the low groove, and held the lead for two circuits. However, White rallied back, regaining the lead and never looking back. Snellenberger settled for second place money at the pay window. Stankowski took third. Wisconsin Rapids’ Mark Eswein and Algoma’s Dave Bouche placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

In the B mod feature, White started six when the 16 car field took the green. White wrestled the lead away from early race leader Braedyn Kirtland on the fifth circuit. White built up a near full straightaway lead by lap 12, and carefully picked his way through lapped cars towards the end. 2025 track champion Dave Dishaw scored second. Frank Gasperini, Ryan Brown and Shane Bahr finished third through fifth, respectively.

With his win in the B mods, White became the first repeat winner in the division in 2026.

Defending USRA late model champion Lucas Peterson of Stockholm outdueled fellow front row starter Jason McFadden in the feature event. McFadden built up a five car length margin over Peterson and the rest of the field. Peterson was able to chase down McFadden and pass him to regain the lead on lap 15 and kept the lead to win his second feature race of the year here. McFadden took second place, followed by Jason Zdroik, Dave Bennett and Logan Fleischman.

Three Lakes’ Nick Allard passed Jeremy Joslin for the lead on lap 12, and fought off defending track champion Jason Eisel in the waning laps to capture his first street stock feature win of the year here. Eisel took second place, with Joslin, Hope Eisel and Blake Joslin placing third through fifth, respectively.

Cornell, Michigan’s Ethan Manninen picked up his second, 600 micro sprint feature of the season here while Phillips’ Devin Fries collected his third pure stock feature flag of the season at Eagle River.

Tomahawk’s Blake Wilke picked up his first 300 micro sprint feature flag of the year in the Pro division, while hometown driver Reed Joslin scooped up victory number three on the season in the Semi-Pro class.

Racing resumes Tuesday, July 14 with the track’s annual “Christmas In July” show. Santa Claus will make an appearance. Racing starts at 7:00 p.m. For more information check out the track’s Facebook page.
