WE’RE TALKIN’ ABOUT PRACTICE……

A practice session has been moved to Wednesday, April 10 at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

The shakedown session is set to go from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The pit gate will open at 5:30 p.m.

Pit passes will be $20. Grandstand admission is free and the Left Turn Lounge will open beginning at 5 p.m.

The practice session is open to cars in any division.

The season opening race at 141 is set for Saturday, April 13 at 6 p.m. Defending track champions include Kewaunee’s Shawn Kilgore (IMCA modified), Manitowoc’s Kyle Resch (IMCA stock car), Manitowoc’s Paul Diefenthaler (Unified street stock), Antigo’s Zach Raab (IMCA northern sportmod), Omro’s Derek Schrauth (grand national) and Two Rivers’ Justin Finlan (IMCA sport compacts).

GRAVITY PARK USA – A practice session is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at Gravity Park USA in Chilton. Like 141, the practice is free for spectators. The Chilton bullring hosts it’s opening night race Friday, April 12 beginning at 7 p.m. The track hosts grand nationals, modifieds, stock cars, street stocks and 4 cylinders weekly.

DIRT KINGS/SHAWANO OPENER – The Dirt Kings late model tour will kick off its 2024 season at Shawano Speedway’s half-mile Saturday, April 13 with racing getting underway at 6 p.m.

Shawano remains the only dirt track on the eastern side of Wisconsin to host late models weekly. Shawano’s weekly program hosts late models, IMCA modifieds, stock cars, northern sportmods and 4 cylinders. The defending series champion is Nick Anvelink of Navarino.

A practice session is set for Friday, April 12 (weather permitting).

PLYMOUTH PRACTICE – Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds will host it’s first practice session of the season Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The pit area opens at 9:30 p.m.

The season opening race at PDTR is scheduled for Saturday, April 27.

IRA OUTLAW OPENER – After the planned April 6 opener at 34 Raceway in Iowa was a washout, the season opening race for the IRA Outlaw sprint car series now will be at Mississippi Thunder Speedway Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m.

DRP ICEBREAKER – The popular Icebreaker 100 race will kick off Wisconsin’s pavement super late model action Saturday, April 13 at Dells Raceway Park. Joining the super lates in the Alive For Five series event will be the season lid lifter for the Midwest Truck Series and the 602 late models.

Close to 100 pre-entries have signed up for the event at the third-mile, paved oval. Qualifying is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. with the first green flag flying at 2 p.m.
