WELLS DOUBLES DOWN ON NORWAY LATE MODEL FEATURE WINS
(SCHIEFELBEIN SCORES SECOND SUPER STOCK FEATURE WIN)
(Norway, MI) July 30 – Kingsford’s Jason Wells was the class of the late model field at Norway Speedway Friday night.
Wells won both 20 lap features.
In the first contest Wells had his hands full with fellow Kingsford racer Scott Stanchina right down to the wire. In the second main event Wells marched through the field having started last with the inverted lineup. Manitowoc, Wisconsin’s Gregg Haese applied the pressure late in the race but came up short at the checkers.
Pembine, Wisconsin’s Anthony Schiefelbein dodged several caution periods to capture his second super stock feature of the season while Kingsford rookie Jon Menpaa scored the upset with the feature win in the stock car division.
Faithorn’s Elliot Reid emerged triumphant in the 4 banger division.
Next Friday, August 6 will be Werner Electric night at the track. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m.
