USRA LATE MODELS SCRAP FOR $1,200 AT EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY AUG. 2
(Doubleheader show with 1st appearance of Badger Midgets in decades at third-mile)
(Eagle River, WI) July 28 – The United States Racing Association (USRA) late models will battle for a $1,200 top prize in a Saturday Night Special at Eagle River Speedway August 2.
The late model portion of the program, sponsored by Seubert Calf Ranches, will share the bill with the popular open-wheel Badger Midgets from the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association (BMARA) in their first appearance in decades at the third-mile, clay oval. The late model feature will pay $300 just to start.
Eagle River Speedway has seen slow, yet steady growth with the Sweetwater USRA late models since picking up the sanctioning for the 2025 season. Heading into this special event, 29 different drivers representing three different states have wheeled USRA late models at ERS in 2025. The class has been averaging just under 13 cars per night in the division – close to nearly double from one season ago.
Other divisions that will compete during the August 2 special include both the Dan’s Service 300 micro sprints and the JD Archery & Paintball Supply 600 micro sprints. A ton of “Vintage Iron” will be in the house as well, as both the Dairyland Vintage Series and the Milwaukee Stock Car Vintage Modifieds will be on hand.
