ATTENTION SPORTS/MOTORSPORTS – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A PAIR OF LATE MODEL LONG HAUL AWARDS TO BE DOLED OUT AT $1,500 USRA-STYLE EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY SAT. SEPT 3

(Eagle River, WI) – Sweetwater Spirits & Resort, the title sponsor of the late model class at Eagle River Speedway, will pay out two, $125 long haul bonuses to the pair of teams that tow the furthest to compete at the track’s season final Saturday, September 3.

Eight divisions of racing are on tap, including the Sweetwater late models and Chef Rene B modifieds that will remove the roofs off their cars in a “Topless” night of Labor Day weekend racing. A number of USRA-style late models are expected to tow from western Wisconsin and Minnesota to tackle Eagle River Speedway’s third-mile, clay oval.

It will be a big money night of racing at Eagle River. While the late models are racing for $1,500 the B mods and Coffen Construction stock cars will both race for $1,000-to-win top prizes in that division’s respective feature races. The grand national division, a class of cars that race at eastern Wisconsin dirt tracks, will race for a $2,200 top prize with several the top guns from that region expected to travel north to compete.

The track’s other weekly classes will be in action including Eagle River Dock and Lift street stocks, JD Paintball and Archery 600 micros, Dan’ Service/Halsey Fab 300 micros and the local pure stocks.

A draw/redraw format will be employed for all classes. The track will also be utilizing its new pit area adjacent to turns three and four. The newly expanded pit area will nearly double the capacity of the existing pit area and can comfortably host more over 130 pit stalls.

Pit fees are $55 for drivers in the late model, B mod and grand national classes as drivers in those divisions will be racing for increased purse money. Pit pass prices are $30 for all pit crew members. Pits open at 3 p.m. with the draw cutoff at 5 p.m. Racing action gets underway at 6 p.m.

For fans the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. The raindate (if needed) will be utilized on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Drivers can pre-register through MyRacePass.

For any questions you may have please call Pat Zdroik at (715) 891 1870 for more information. Please check the track’s Facebook page for race day weather updates. The track’s GPS address is 3973 Cloverland Drive, Eagle River, WI 54521.
