SCHMITT, WILSON, KOENING, RICHARDS & REESE SWEEP 141 ACTION
(FRANCIS CREEK, WI) June 6 – On a night when 179 drivers from four state jammed the pit area, five drivers among the six classes picked up clean sweeps at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek Saturday night.
Beaver Dam’s Brandon Schmitt (IMCA modified), Little Suamico’s Tyler Wilson (IMCA stock car), Fox Lake’s Elijah Koening (IMCA northern sportmod), Montello’s Jeff Richards (grand national) and Chilton’s James Reese (IMCA sport compact) all scored clean sweeps in their respective divisions. New Franken’s Derek Moede won the street stock feature.
Schmitt’s win was worth $1,500, and it went caution free. Moede’s feature win in the street stocks also went without a yellow.
The busy month of racing at 141 Speedway continues next week, with the 18th annual Clash At The Creek June 12 and 13. The IMCA modified feature will pay a $10,000 top prize June 12 and 13.
The following week June 19 and 20 the World of Outlaw late models roll into town, with a pair of full shows each night for the “Maribel Late Model Showdown.” Some of the top, dirt late model professionals in the United States will tackle the high banks of the Francis Creek oval.
