(Dunbar, WI) Jan. 15 – A six episode podcast series featuring Luxemburg Speedway Hall of Famer Kelly Hafeman is set to drop at joeverdegan.com Monday, January 20.
Hafeman, along with his wife Debbie Hafeman and R.W. Aschenbrenner, promoted Luxemburg Tri-Star Speedway at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds from 1989 through 2001. During their tenure promoting the successful Friday night venue, the trio boasted solid car counts and saw the exploding growth of the popular IMCA modified, stock car and street stock divisions throughout the 1990’s.
Prior to his foray into race promoting, Hafeman was one of the pioneers of the early days of IMCA modified racing in northeastern Wisconsin. Hafeman netted track titles on the pavement at 141 Speedway’s quarter-mile while also capturing track championships at Seymour Speedway while the division was in its infancy locally in the late 1980’s.
The six episodes will drop on Monday mornings, with the first one debuting on January 20. The episodes can be found on the “On The Record” tab on the website and are accessible at Spotify and wherever you obtain your audio podcasts.
