MOTHER NATURE WASHES OUT OUTAGAMIE A & B MAINS JULY 11
(Seymour, Wisconsin July 11 – Mother Nature took the checkered flag at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour here Friday as all of the A and B mains were washed out, and the show was canceled.
Pesky showers started falling just prior to the start of the third IMCA modified heat. Despite efforts from track staff to save the track, Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car officials deemed it was too difficult to save the track and the balance of the show was postponed.
Fans have three weeks to use their wristbands, and the 50/50 money that was collected will be thrown into next week’s drawing.
A total of 138 cars in five divisions showed up to do battle. That field included 22 street stocks, 28 IMCA northern sportmods, 36 IMCA stock cars, 25 IMCA modifieds and 27 IMCA sport compacts.
Action resumes next Friday, July 18 for “Back To School” night. The late model division will join the track’s regular divisions. Action begins at 6:30 p.m. You can check outagamiespeedway.com for additional information.
