Lucas Lamberies leads the way at Outagamie Speedway

By Edward Anschutz

(Seymour, WI) August 20, 2021 Race Report- Lucas Lamberies leads the way in the IMCA Modifieds at Outagamie Speedway presented by Klink Equipment & Elite Coatings Inc. 115 cars checked in to do battle at the fairgrounds. There were 26 IMCA Modifieds, 25 IMCA Stock Cars, 28 IMCA Sport Mods, 20 IMCA Sport Compacts and 16 Unified Street Stocks.

The red flag flew on the 7th lap of the IMCA Sport Compact feature win Bo White was caught up in a wreck and rolled over. Thankfully White was ok but his machine was done for the night.

Mike Wedelstadt raced to the lead on the opening lap of the caution free IMCA Modified feature until Lucas Lamberies took over the top spot on 7. Marcus Yarie and Johnny Whitman closed in on Lamberies midway through the contest and put on a battle that was worth the price of admission. A 3-car chess match broke out as Yarie and Whitman went high and low to get around Lamberies. Lamberies was able to match every move, holding them off all the way to the checker for his second win of the season. Yarie had to settle for second at the pay window, Whitman was third, Wyatt Block took fourth and point leader Tyler Wilson rounded out the top five.

In only his second night in the IMCA Stock Cars, Austin Jansen set the pace from his front row starting spot. After a pair of cautions, point leader Brandon Czarpata worked through the field and to the lead on lap 9. The battle became for second as Josh Mroczkowski, Eric Arneson and Tyler Wendt duked it out. Czarapata dominated the remainder of the event to score his 4th feature win of the season and clean sweep to boot. Arneson won the battle for second, Wendt was third, fourth went to Mroczkowski and Brett Wenzel completed the top five.

Beau Schroder set the pace early in the Unified Dirt Street Stocks. Schroder pulled away until a caution slowed the field on lap 9. On the Restart Brooke Diefenthaler came to call, challenging Schroder for the top spot. Diefenthaler was able to slip by down to take the top spot on lap 13. Diefenthaler held off a hard charging Jesse Krahn to score her first win of the season. Krahn had to settle for second, point leader James Fletcher took third, Trey Van Straten was fourth and Paul White took fifth.

In IMCA Sport Mod action it was Matt Radtke racing around Taylor Haufschildt on lap 4 to take the top spot. Radtke never looked back, cruising to his first feature win of the season. Tyler Sobiesczyk closed in late but settled for second, Elijah Koenig took third, Jayden Schmidt was fourth and Cory Kemkes completed the top five. The contest went green to checker.

David Cox took over the top spot on lap 8 of the IMCA Sport Compact feature and quickly came under fire from TJ Everard and Matt Brehmer. The trio raced 3-wide the lead until lap 15 when Brehmer took the lead for good. Brehmer held on for his second win of the season. Everard placed second, Cox was third, after rolling last week Michael Brehmer took fourth and Brett Deprez was fifth but didn’t pass tech, handing that spot to Thomas Schulte.

Our next night of racing is on Friday August 27 with the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Sport Compacts and Unified Dirt Street Stocks. Only two-point night remain. Racing starts at 6:30pm
