IRA SPRINTS, 141 CLASH, RED RACE & MORE ON TAP IN BUSY RACE WEEK

The month of June, and in particular this week, has no shortage of big racing events in Northeastern Wisconsin.
We’ll break it down for you here:
141 Speedway’s Clash At The Creek 18 – The 18th running of of 141 Speedway’s Clash At The Creek will run Friday and Saturday, June 12-13. A $10,000 top prize remains on the line.
Since the first running of this event while 141 was still a paved oval in 2009, Ricky Thornton Jr. remains the only driver to be credited with three wins. Racing action begins at 6 p.m. both nights. A practice session will be held on Thursday night, June 11. A special dirt late model exhibition race will take place. Rules for this will be open, as drivers can shake down their machines for the upcoming World of Outlaw late model appearance the following week June 19-20.

IRA SPRINT DOUBLEHEADER – The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw sprint cars will run a doubleheader weekend in northeastern Wisconsin. Night one kicks off June 12 at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour. Support classes include IMCA stock cars, street stocks and IMCA sport compacts. Racing gets underway at 6:30 p.m.
The following night, the winged warriors will make a long-awaited return to the “Legendary Half-Mile” at Shawano Speedway. Running in support with the IRA’s will be IMCA modifieds (no track points), IMCA stock cars and IMCA northern sportmods. The hammer drops at 6 p.m.
THE HILL RACEWAY – The next event for The Hill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay will be Saturday, June 27 for Millie’s Pub and Grub Hall of Fame night. The action kicks off at 6 p.m. at John Miles Park in Door County.

LUXY PRELUDE – Luxy Raceway in Luxemburg hosts a Wednesday night “Prelude To The Clash” June 10. The action at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds kicks off at 6:30 p.m. IMCA modifieds race for $1,500-to-win. $1k top prizes go to the winners of the IMCA stock car and sportmod classes, respectively.
PAVEMENT PONDERINGS – The 1st leg of the Red, White & Blue state championship series kicks off Thursday, June 11 at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna. The “Thursday Night Thunder” program, run by the Fox River Racing Club, kicks off at 6:30 p.m. The super late models, which will battle for a $3,500 top prize, will race a 51-lap feature in honor of NASCAR star Kyle Busch, who passed away a month ago.
TUNDRA TIME – The 2nd TUNDRA super late model series event of the season is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at Marshfield Motor Speedway. This will be the final show of the Bob & Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial race at the half-mile, paved oval.

Joining the super late models will be the Midwest Truck Series, and the legends as well. The action kicks off at 7 p.m.
KARTING KORNER – Fairchild Equipment night sponsors the action at GSR Kartway in Clintonville Wednesday, June 10. Kids bikes will be given away. Lawn mower and kart racing is set to commence at 7 p.m.
Little Buckaroo Jr. Motorsports Park will host Arneson Well Drilling day at the races Sunday, June 14. A kids candy drop will take place. Karting action at the eighth-mile, clay oval in Cecil will get underway at 2 p.m.
