(Seymour, WI)6/11/21 Outagamie Speedway Race Report- 107 checked in to do battle at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. There were 17 IMCA Modifieds, 20 IMCA Stock Cars, 21 IMCA Sport Mods, 26 IMCA Sport Compacts and 23 Unified Street Stocks.
Action was halted during the IMCA Sport Mod feature as Nathan O’Bright came to stop in the middle of turns 1 & 2. Safety personal was called and he was transferred to the hospital. We will post any updates on our Facebook page.
Larry Karcz Jr held court early in the IMCA Stock Car feature as he ran the top groove with Kevin Hebbe giving chase. Midway through the contest Hebbe pulled even with Karcz. The due battle door to door with Hebbe taking the top spot on lap 12. Karcz stayed within striking distance but in the end, it was Hebbe besting a solid field of cars for his first win of the season. Karcz had to settle for second at the pay window. Point leader Brandon Czarapata was third, Rod Snellenberger took fourth and Logan Leary completed the top.
In the IMCA Modifieds Lucas Lamberies threaded the needle from his second row starting spot to make a 3-wide pass for the lead on the opening lap. Lamberies pulled away from the field, dominating the event. When the checkers fell it was Lamberies taking home the win by a margin of 8 seconds. Marcus Yarie was second, Tim Robbins had his best finish of the year to place third, Cody Schroeder was fourth and point leader Tyler Wilson rounded out the top five.
Chad Naze paced the opening laps of the Unified Street Stock Feature until defending champ Jesse Krahn came to call, passing Naze on lap 3. Krahn pulled away until a caution on lap 13 slowed the field. That’s when James Fletcher began to pressure Krahn. Fletcher worked his way around Krahn on lap 16. Krahn came roaring back to the lead as the white flag flew. Krahn was able to stay out front on the final lap and pick up the win and a clean sweep of the night. Fletcher had to settle for second, Dave Hoerning was a strong third, Josh McDonald was fourth and Ray Roe completed the top five.
In IMCA Sport Mod action Bernie Miller lead the first 4 laps until Skyler Woods raced by up top to take the lead. Woods pulled away from the field to score his first win of the season. Jeff Schmuhl took second, Ryan Schmidt was third, point leader Jayden Schmidt rallied to finish fourth and Miller placed fifth.
