HAFFORD COPS 141 WINGLESS SPRINT MAIN AT 141

(Frances Creek, Wis.)–Allen Hafford of Beach Park, IL scored his first 20-lap AutoMeter powered by Gandrud Performance Wisconsin WingLESS Sprints feature win of the season Saturday, September 5 at 141 Speedway in Frances Creek.
Hafford jumped in front at the drop of the green opening a sizeable advantage as battle amongst four to five drivers developed behind him.
The only caution flew one lap from the finish as George Gaertner III had a tire shred on the front straightaway.
That set up overtime with a green-white-checkered finish. Hafford stayed at the point sticking to the bottom groove, scoring the win by 0.818 seconds over runner-up Colin Sivia of Winthrop Harbor, IL. Elkhart Lake’s Preston Ruh finished a close third by less than a quarter of a second behing Sivia. Tim Cox of Park City, IL was fourth. Silver Lake’s Ralph Johnson fifth. Second through fifth came across at the checkered by less than a second and a half.
“I knew where Colin would try to go, so I just stuck with my line to block him and it worked,” said Hafford, who became the 14th different WingLESS Series winner this season in 18 total main events. “I have to thank all of our sponsors, my Dad, my son Gianni, my wife, everybody who helps out. It’s great to finally get the win this year.”
Ruh scored the Behling Race Equipment Hard Charger honor improving seven positions from 10th starting spot to take third.
Hafford won the Fox Lake Harbor/All Star Performance 8-lap 1st Heat. George Gaertner III of Salem scored the Five Star Race Car Bodies/Behling Race Equipment 2nd Heat win.
Sivia posted quick time of :13.286 seconds in Body Craft of Antioch, IL qualifying.
After a stop at The Hill in Sturgeon Bay on Sunday, September 6, the WingLESS are part of the Natalie Klemko Memorial Fall Classic Friday, September 11, along with the IRA Lightning Sprints as part of the card.
The WingLESS 2026 Series wraps up Saturday, September 26 at Plymouth Dirt Track in Sheboygan County as part of the Wisconsin Sprint Car Championships along with the IRA 410 Winged Sprint Cars, the IRA Lightning Sprints and the MSA 360 Sprints.
