GSR KARTWAY’S BADGER 50 WRAPS UP ’25 POINTS CHASES (submitted by Scott J. Owen)
(Clintonville, WI) Sept. 27– The fourth annual Badger Fifty event at the GSR Kartway brought out some of the top go karting talent in the state of Wisconsin. The name is derived from the 50 lap feature in the Sportsman division.
Trevor Reusch timed in as fast qualifier in the event and led early on before Tylar Alton slipped underneath on lap nineteen and led the rest of the way for the win. The Dakota Anker memorial feature was held for the Senior Sportsman division. The race honors the memory of former racer Dakota Anker who passed away last year. Rick Reusch set fast time and went on to lead wire to wire for the win. Reusch won the $1200 top prize money, but left with more after collecting lap leader money as well.
Chase Olson set fast time in the BP Wing class, but mechanical gremlins took him out of the feature. Tanner Johnsen scored the feature win. Chase Goodman (Junior 3), Easton Quaintance (Junior 2), and Kaleb Moeller (R Box Wing) each swept their respective divisions by setting fast time and winning the feature. Rockin Ronald Schertz set quick time in the Box Stock class, but Landon Boldt scored the feature win.
Elijah Garza put up the best time in Rookie Box Stock action while Kennedy Moore rocketed to the feature win. In Kiddie Kart action, Carson Hill sent his fan club home happy as he notched the feature win.
