GLEMBIN, DISHAW AMONG EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY WINNERS JUNE 20

(EAGLE RIVER, WI) June 20 – Ontonagon, Michigan’s Dave Dishaw stormed into the lead from his row three starting spot and fought off defending track champion Jesse Aho on a restart with five laps remaining to capture the B mod feature win at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday.

In the early going it appeared Wausau’s Scott Swanson had the upper hand in the 20-lap contest. Swanson had the lead for a bulk of the contest early. However, Dishaw motored around Swanson on lap eight. A lap 15 caution flew for a Pete Paulus spin, setting up a five-lap dash to the checkers. When the green resumed Aho slipped past Dustin White to snag the second spot. However, Dishaw was up for the challenge and scored his second feature flag of the season.

Aho settled for second at the pay window, followed by White, Jason Zdroik and rookie Ryan Brown of Eagle River.

Zdroik would later continue his dominance in the late model class where he won the division’s feature.

Woodruff’s Max Nowak stunned the 600 micro sprint field by winning the feature in his first outing of 2023. Nowak guest drove former track champion Andy Fink’s 25 ride. Fink inherited the lead on the final circuit when race leader Hoyt Cournoyer slowed with mechanical woes when the white flag was displayed.
