GETTING POTENTIAL MARKETING PARTNERS TO THE TRACK by Joe Verdegan

(MARCH, 2025 MONTHLY MOTORSPORTS MARKETING MAIL TIP)

I’ve always said Motorsports Marketing is one of the best, outside-of-the-box avenues businesses can use to showcase their product or business.

It’s a most unique medium that in many ways still incorporates the traditional media vehicles (electronic and to a lesser degree print media) but also embraces all of these wonderful, new platforms like Instagram, Tic Toc, Snapchat, X and Facebook just to name a few. Smart race teams will creatively and effectively incorporate most, if not all of these platforms into any successful marketing partnership.

Half the battle, in my opinion is getting those important decision-makers TO THE TRACK. I live in Wisconsin and let’s face it – summers can be busy – very busy! But if you are able to get a decision-maker to the track – even just once – you may be able to break the ice and get a foot in the door to what can be a long and fruitful partnership.

Get some complimentary tickets from your local track or series promoter. Any good promoter worth his or her salt will be more than WILLING to help you introduce a potentially new marketing partner into the sport.

I can’t stress this enough. If you’re NOT well versed in things like spelling and grammar, find someone who is. That person or persons can assist you in putting together a colorful, eye-catching sponsorship deck.

We do assist race teams with putting together sponsorship decks which are a critical tool in the great money hunt. Simply drop me an email at jverdegan2@gmail.com and let’s get those conversations started.
