EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY CROWNS ’25 CHAMPIONS AT AWARDS BANQUET
(EAGLE RIVER, WI) March 15 – Eagle River Speedway officially closed the books on the 2025 racing season as awards were doled out at the Eagle River Inn Saturday, March 14 during the annual off-season awards banquet.
Champions were crowned in all of the track’s divisions, along with rookie-of-the-year and most improved driver and special sportsmanship/recognition awards.

Ontonagon, Michigan’s Dave Dishaw picked up his first ever B modified track title. Dishaw beat out hometown driver Ryan Brown by 10 points to clinch the title. 35 different B mod drivers earned points in ’25 action.
Stockholm, Wisconsin’s Lucas Peterson made history, becoming the first ever United States Racing Association (USRA) late model championship. Peterson bested Marshfield veteran Jason McFadden by 76 marks in the final point standings. 35 drivers representing three states earned points in the USRA late models.

Hometown driver Jason Zdroik clinched the IMCA stock car title. The veteran racer outdistanced fellow Eagle River racer Jonathan Miller by 63 points. A total of 28 drivers earned points in the division dubbed Too-Tough-To-Tame.”
The “Mayor of Sugar Camp” Jason Eisel earned the street stock title. Eisel’s margin of victory in the points chase over runnerup Jeremy Joslin of Rhinelander was 15 points. A total of 34 different drivers earned points in the street stock class.
In 600 micro sprint action, it was Rhinelander’s Blake Joslin edged out Minnesota visitor Tyler Pelofske by a mere three points to seal the division track championship. 18 different 600 micro drivers from four different states earned points in ’25.

Twin Lakes, Michigan’s Cooper Aho beat out Wausau’s Bentley Seliger by 12 points to capture the 300 micro sprint division title. Eagle River’s Cole Bennett won the pure stock track title. The third-generation racer beat out Tomahawk’s Trevor Schumann by 24 points to earn the crown.
Rookie-of-the-year awards were doled out to: Conover’s Chad Lederer (USRA late model), Eagle River’s Nick Pagec (IMCA stock car), Rhinelander’s Blake Joslin (street stock), Eagle River’s Parker Ewert (300 Pro) and Eagle River’s Graham Van Atta (300 Semi-Pro).
Most Improved driver awards were earned by: Marshfield’s Jason McFadden (USRA late model), Rhinelander’s Jeremy Joslin (street stock), Dorchester’s Oakley Schwantes (600 micro sprint), Ontonagon, Michigan’s Addision Dishaw (300 Micro Pro) and Eagle River’s Mya Ewert (300 Micro Semi-Pro).
Four Sportsmanship and Track Appreciation awards were handed out to Wakefield, Michigan’s George Dalbeck, Twin Lakes, Michigan’s Team Aho, Rhinelander/Sugar Camp’s Team Eisel and Dustin White Construction.

Sponsors who helped make the awards banquet possible included Dustin White Construction, Zdroik’s Well Drilling, Dan’s Service Center, Dalbeck Sales, Superior Plumbing, Meier Electrical Services, Deditz Caretaking and Property Management, Wisconsin Building Supply, Behling Racing Equipment, Boone’s Building Supply, Eagle River Speedway and Badger Truck Repair.
Eagle River Speedway recently unveiled a chock-fillled, 17-date racing schedule at the popular Northwoods, third-mile clay oval, with a season opening race for Saturday, May 23.
The ’26 season schedule shows regular, Tuesday night racing which begins on June 9.
The largest paying race in the track’s 51-year history will be the $10,250-to-win “Rumble At The River” B-modified event Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11. The big event, presented by Dalbeck Sales and Dustin White Construction, will have additional details released in the very near future.
The season finale will be Saturday, September 9. Test and tune sessions are scheduled for the following dates: Friday, May 22, Sunday, August 9 and Friday, September 4.
The track’s weekly divisions include USRA late models, B-modifieds, IMCA stock cars, street stocks, 300 and 600 micro sprints. Pure stocks also make some appearances. Traveling series that will make appearances at ERS in ’26 include the MSA sprints, Badger Midgets, and Dairyland Vintage racers.
