FOUR NEW WINNERS FIND VICTORY LANE AT GSR KARTWAY SEPT. 11 by Scott J. Owen
(Clintonville, WI) 09/11/2026 – Friday night’s Junior 2 feature may well have been the race of the year. The top four ran nose to tail in a clean, respectful race. Looking for his first feature win, Toby VanStraten held the lead early on as Easton Quaintance pressured him while running second. The lead duo was soon joined by Chase Olson and Cole Baierl. The four young competitors ran nose to tail with each searching the track for an advantage. Late in the race Quaintance got under Van Straten to take the lead, but it was short lived as Olson soon found the forward momentum to pass Quaintance. Baierl snuck under Quaintance as well. In the end it was Olson scoring his third win in the division followed closely by Baierl, Quaintance, and Van Straten.
Austin Quaintance has been close this summer, but ended up coming up short. Friday night was his night though. The young racer led the entirety of the feature for his first win. It was a clean sweep also, by winning both of heats as well, including a daring three wide last lap pass to win his first heat race. Aurora Jahnke also went wire to wire to win her first feature in the Kiddie Kart class.
Payton Anderson outduelled Willa Young for her first GSR feature win of the year in the R Box Wing class. Mike Latsch secured his first win in the Little Wolf Auto Sportsmen division. It was redemption of sorts for Latsch who was so close to winning a feature earlier this summer.
Dakota Quaintance bested his dad in the Senior division for his second win of the year. The remainder of the feature winners added to their impressive totals this summer. Brigham Schroeder notched his 6th Junior Three feature. Chase Olson won his 6th straight BP Wing feature. Camdan Henry won his 7th Kens Sports Box Stock feature. While Todd Schertz won his 10th Mares Farm Market Outlaw Mower feature.
The final point night of the season is next Friday night September 18th. The annual fall special, the Badger 50, will be held Friday and Saturday September 25th and 26th. More information can be found online at gsrkartway.com, the My Race Pass app, or on the track’s Facebook page.
