ROOKIE TUCKER PARI EARNS FIRST OUTAGAMIE FEATURE FLAG, SWEEPS SPORTMOD ACTION
(SEYMOUR, WI) Aug. 7 – Clintonville rookie Tucker Pari sprinted into the lead from his pole position, and dodged numerous cautions and went on to win the IMCA sportmod feature at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour Friday.
Pari also won his heat earlier in the evening, netting a sweep for the night.
Pari had to sweat out numerous yellow flags during the 20-lap feature. Pari had to dodge lapped traffic beginning at the contest’s halfway point. Pari’s biggest challenge came from Max Oreskovich, who mounted a late race surge but came up short at the checkers. Oreskovich settled for second place, followed by Brendan Ostrowski, J.J. Vander Loop and Dylan Schmidt.
Denmark’s Cole Czarneski fought off a stiff challenge from Little Suamico’s Tyler Wilson in the waning laps, and nipped Wilson at the checkers by a mere .21 seconds to capture the IMCA stock car feature.
Czarneski grabbed the lead from his outside, front row starting spot in the 20-lap main event, while Wilson stayed within striking distance throughout the contest.
A caution flew with four laps remaining when a barrel got kicked up into the groove on the racing surface. On the restart, Wilson grabbed the lead. Czarneski motored around Wilson to regrab the lead on the final circuit to seal the deal. Wilson took second place at the pay window. Brett Wenzel, Trent Nolan and Mike Mullen took third through fifth, respectively.
Suamico’s Johnny Whitman passed hometown driver Jayden Schmidt for the lead with four laps remaining to capture the IMCA modified feature. Both drivers sliced their way through the pack, coming from deep in the field. Whitman started 12th, and Schmidt started 11th. Schmidt took second place money, with Skyler Woods, Justin Ritchie and Derek Janke finishing third through fifth, respectively.
Two Rivers’ Paul Diefenthaler grabbed the lead on lap nine, and built up a full straightaway margin en route to winning the caution-free, 20-lap street stock feature. Trey Van Straten took second, followed by Trevor Spaulding, Ben Schulte and Jacob Ambrosius.
Green Bay’s Brett Deprez scored a clean sweep in the IMCA sport compact division, winning both the heat race and the 20-lap feature.
Racing resumes next Friday, August 14. The Dirt Kings late model tour returns to the speedway. For more information check out our website outagamiespeedway.com or check out our Facebook page.
