PRE-ENTRY LIST TO DROP FRIDAY AUG. 7 FOR $10,250-TO-WIN “RUMBLE AT THE RIVER” B MOD RACE AT EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY
(Track’s five-figure jackpot largest ever in track history)
(Eagle River, WI) – A pre-entry list showcasing drivers from six states and Canada will be dropped Friday, August 7 on the Eagle River Speedway Facebook page for the $10,250-to-win “Rumble At The River” B Mod race August 9-11 at the popular Northwoods, third-mile, clay oval.
The five-figure jackpot, presented by Dalbeck Construction and Dustin White Construction, will be the highest ever in the track’s 51-year history.
Tentative plans call for an open test-and-tune session on Sunday, August 9 begining at 6 p.m. Pre-tech will also take place for teams who show up Sunday.
Heat races and a pair of qualifying features for B mods are slated to be run on Monday, August 10. The top five finishers in each A main will be locked into the $10k show to be run Tuesday, August 11. IMCA stock cars will also run a full show on Monday, employing a draw-redraw format. State and national points will be doled out.
On Tuesday, the IMCA stock cars will run another full show, with weekly points also being doled out. Unified dirt street stocks and 300 micro sprints will also be part of the show. Another set of qualifying heats will take place for B mods, with last chance races also on tap.
“Basically, any driver that runs an IMCA northern sportmod, USRA B modified or a WISSOTA Midwest Modified are eligible for this race,” Pat Zdroik said. “All drivers must run their respective sanctioning rules. The only tires allowed for this event will be the G-60 (either Hoosier or American Racer).”
joeverdegan.com will award a $100 long haul award on Tuesday to the B mod driver who tows the furthest to compete.
The 50-lap feature will start 24 cars, and will pay $500-to-start. Racing on both Monday and Tuesday will begin at 6:30 p.m. The raindate, if needed, will be Wednesday, August 12. Fans and drivers can learn more about this race by checking the Eagle River Speedway Facebook page.
