EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY TO HOST TWO IMCA MODIFIED FAST SHAFT QUALIFIERS JUNE 30 & JULY 21
(EAGLE RIVER, WI) JUNE 15 – Eagle River Speedway will host a pair of $1,000-to-win IMCA modified events on Tuesday nights June 30 and July 21, respectively at the third-mile, clay oval.
Both events will be fully IMCA-sanctioned modified events, with no mixing or matching of any other modified divisions. Both shows will employ a draw/redraw format. The winners of each sanctioned event will be added to an eligibility list, giving them the opportunity to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational, to be held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals held in September at Boone Speedway.
The feature race will pay $125-to-start. “With all of the card-carrying IMCA modified drivers just to the south of us, we’ve actually had a pretty good buzz about hosting two of these races,” said track promoter Pat Zdroik. “We’re hoping for a decent turnout for both of those scheduled events.”
There will be NO draw fee for either of these shows. Other classes that will run for these two events will be USRA late models, B modifieds, IMCA stock cars, street stocks and 300 micro sprints. The sponsors for these two events are Dustin White Construction, Mike Winter Seasonal Services and Harry’s On The Lake. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m. both nights.
