OPENING NIGHT ACCOLADES AT GSR KARTWAY by Scott J. Owen
(Clintonville, WI) 05/13/2026–The 2026 season of karting kicked off at the GSR Kartway this week. Third generation racer Austin Quaintance swept the action in the Kiddie Kart class. Kaleb Moeller also posted a sweep in the R Box wing division. Newcomer Drake Gokey brought home the win in the Rookie Box Stock feature. Alex Hiles overtook Mya Quaintance to score the win in Box Stock action. Easton Quaintance held off a hard-charging Ronald Schertz to make his way to victory lane in Junior Two action.
Samuel Bickley went wire to wire to secure the top spot in the Junior Three feature. BP Wings saw a dominant performance all night by Gavin Ambrosius. Chase Goodman made the jump to the Sportsman division this year and showed out with a win in the opener. Brian Quaintance was untouchable in the Senior Sportsman feature. Todd Schertz emerged triumphant in Outlaw Mower action. Racing will continue weekly on Wednesday nights throughout the summer.
