BREAKING DOWN WISCONSIN’S ALL-TIME IMCA STOCK CAR WINNERS
Posted on: Monday December 29, 2025

Pulaski’s “Hot Rod” Snellenberger poses next to his battered, but finely tuned IMCA stock car at Eagle River Speedway in 2025.
Most dirt track racing fans in northeastern Wisconsin would contend that (arguably) the most popular division on the clay these days is the IMCA stock cars.
It’s the one division that, despite track conditions, you’ll almost always find two and three-wide action. It doesn’t matter if the track is dry or wet. Rough or smooth. Somehow, someway, the drivers of this class almost ALWAYS seem to put on a show for the fans.
And the neat thing about the current top 20 in all-time Wisconsin sanctioned feature wins is that 17 of the 20 drivers (at least as of 2025) were still racing. Some only race a handful of times, while others like Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger would likely race seven nights a week yet if he could.
The former national champion leads the way with an incredible 237 career, sanctioned wins. Having a Tuesday venue like Eagle River Speedway running the sanctioned division no doubt has helped him to a degree in building upon his feature win total – at least in the last two seasons. (That Tuesday night venue is a hidden gem – I encourage everyone to catch a show up there whether as a fan or a driver. You won’t be regret it).

It’s another pair of former national champions – Pulaski native Brandon Czarapata and Hortonville’s Travis Van Straten, who sit in the 2nd and 3rd spots, respectively. Czarapata claimed 138 victories while Van Straten has earned 137 wins according to IMCA.
Fourth place wheelman Jeremy Christians of Horicon won numerous state crowns and was an IMCA Supernationals winner at Boone (IA) Speedway in 2010. Christians sits at 123 victories while Green Bay’s John Heinz, who raced sparingly in 2025, rounds out the top five with 86 sanctioned wins.
The top four all remain competitive these days, and have all won feature races in 2025. The class dubbed “Too-Tough-To-Tame” has most certainly lived up to it’s reputation in recent years.
If memory serves me correctly, it was Luxemburg Tri-Star Speedway which sanctioned this popular class in the late 1980’s. It didn’t take long for other area ovals to follow suit.
Interestingly enough, two of the top 20 in the IMCA stock car all-time feature winners also are in the top 20 in the IMCA modifieds – Benji LaCrosse and Shawn Kilgore.
