QUAINTANCE FAMILY FINDS VICTORY LANE AT GSR KARTWAY (submitted by Scott J. Owen)
(CLINTONVILLE, WI) AUG. 6 –Wednesday night started a run of four races in nine days at the GSR Kartway as events were added this Friday and next Friday.
Wednesday night action saw a pair of third generation racers notch first wins. Mya Quaintance secured her first feature win in the Box Stock class, leading every lap. While, Bert Lauer scored his first win in the Junior Two division with a late race pass for the victory. Not to be outdone, Mya’s grandfather Brian Quaintance made a daring last lap pass on his son, Mya’s dad, for his fourth win of the year in the Senior division.
Kendall Anderson also completed a last lap pass to win her second Kiddy Kart feature. Ty Reichenberger (Rookie Box Stock) and Chase Goodman (Junior Three) were dominant in their wins. It was the third feature win of the year for each racer.
The R Box Wing class was a nose to tail affair for the duration of the race with Kaleb Moeller notching his second win of the year. Carson Handschke took the field to school en route to his second Racing for Education feature win.
Tyler Olson was able to fend off a hard charging Blake Aschenbrenner for his 3rd win. Dustin Wudstrack came out ahead in a thrilling Outlaw Mower finale with Todd Schertz for his second win of the year.
Racing will continue this Friday, August 8th as well as next Wednesday and Friday night. Hot laps start at six; racing starts at seven. More information can be found online at gsrkartway.com or on the track’s Facebook page.
