JOLIFF DOMINATES EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY B MOD ACTION
(EAGLE RIVER, WI) July 29, 2025 – Defending track champion Kory Joliff of Mass City, MI stormed into the lead at the drop of the green and wound up winning the B mod feature win by more than a full straightaway at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday. The win was Joliff’s first here of the ’25 campaign.
Joliff outraced fellow front row starter “Chargin’ Charlie” Hoffman into the lead of the 20 lap contest and immediately began building up a comfortable cushion over the balance of the field. The race went caution free, and Joliff skillfully picked his way through lapped cars in the waning laps.
Joliff’s lead was significant enough where it left a trio of competitors to scrap for the runnerup spot: Dave Dishaw, Dustin White and Hoffman. When the checkers flew, Dishaw nabbed the bridesmaid spot, with White, George Dalbeck, and Allenton visitor Brad Keith rounding out the top five finishers.
Hermantown, Minnesota’s Cade Nelson made the long four hour trip pay off, as the defending USRA national late model champion picked up the USRA late model feature win.
Nelson started 10th on the grid in the 20 lap feature, and carefully began picking off cars one-by-one as the contest went on. Nelson snatched the lead on a late race restart, whisking past race leader Zack Friske on a late race restart to seal the deal. Stockholm’s Lucas Peterson gave Nelson a challenge in the final laps but his effort came up short. Peterson took second, followed by Jason McFadden, Jesse Aho and Friske.
Pulaski’s “Hot Rod” Snellenberger passed Ryan Glembin for the lead on lap 10 and fought off a late race charge from Dustin White to win the IMCA stock car feature. The victory was Snellenberger’s 235th career IMCA stock car feature win. Trailing at the checkers were White, Glembin, Jonathan Miller and Wyler Haynes.
The “Mayor of Sugar Camp” Jason Eisel pulled off a thrilling, last lap win by passing leader David Blackberg on the final circuit of the street stock feature. Blackberg settled for second place money at the pay window, followed by Nick Allard, Hope Eisel and Quentin “Iceman” Morrison.
Phillips Devin Fries survived heavy pressure from Tomahawk’s Trevor Schumann to win the pure stock feature.
Stacy, Minnesota’s Tyler Pelofske grabbed the lead on a lap nine restart and cruised to victory in the 600 micro sprint feature.
Both 300 micro sprint features went caution free, and were won by Ontonagon, Michigan’s Addison Dishaw and Sheboygan’s Hudson Launer.
This coming Saturday, August 2 will see the return of the Badger Midgets to the third-mile, clay oval for the first time in decades. Also on the card is a $1,200-to-win and $300-to-start USRA late model feature win presented by Seubert Calf Ranches. Other divisions on the card include 600 and 300 micro sprints, along with the Dairyland Vintage and the Milwaukee Stock Car Association Vintage modifieds joining the action.
The first green flag flies at 6 p.m.
