We’re a day late due to a great family weekend complete with card games, graduation parties, good restaurant visits and awesome Father’s day visits, so we’ll get right to it!

Here’s what is ahead in another busy week of racing in the region:

OUTAGAMIE IRA OUTLAWS – After a week off due to the Mackville Nationals Truck Pulls, regular oval track racing returns to Outagamie Speedway in Seymour Friday, June 20 with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw sprint cars rolling into town. The near-900 horsepower machines will be joined at the third-mile, clay oval by the IMCA stock cars and Unified Dirt Street Stocks. The hammer drops at 7 p.m. at the Outagamie County Fairgrounds in Seymour.

TVR MEMORIAL RACE – The third annual Terry Van Roy Memorial race for Grand Nationals will be held Friday, June 20 at Gravity Park USA in Chilton. The winner of the race will receive $1,409. Van Roy was a well-known racer from nearby Darboy, who won numerous features and track championships in the Grand National, Figure 8 and street stock divisions on both dirt and pavement. Van Roy passed away December 24, 2022.

Joining the grand nationals that night will be the Legends series along with the Vintage modifieds. Yours truly will be on the call. The hammer drops at 7 p.m.

141 DIRT KINGS – The Dirt Kings late models will swing into 141 Speedway in Francis Creek Saturday, June 21 for the annual Diamond 47 race. Joining the late models will be the IMCA modifieds, stock cars, northern sportmods and sport compacts. The Unified dirt street stocks will be off. The action gets underway at 6 p.m.

SHAWANO SPEEDWAY – IMCA stock cars will scrap for a $2,500 top prize at Shawano Speedway Saturday, June 21 during the Scott Weisnicht Memorial race. The stock cars will employ a draw/redraw format, and spectator eliminator races will also be held. Street stocks have been added to the card. Action is set to get underway at 6 p.m.

PAVEMENT PONDERINGS – NASCAR legend Mark Martin will be inducted into the Circle of Fame during a ceremony Thursday, June 19 at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna. This event will take place rain or shine. The full Fox River Racing Club (FRRC) “Thursday Night Thunder” show will be in action, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

TUNDRA RESCHEDULED – The rained out Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial race at Marshfield Motor Speedway has been rescheduled to September 13. The next event for the TUNDRA super late model series is Saturday, July 5 at Dells Raceway Park.

MIDWEST TRUCKS – A field of close to 30 trucks is expected for the Hub City 50 race at Marshfield Motor Speedway Saturday, June 21. Joining the trucks on the paved half-mile will be super late models, Legends, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, X-Treme 4’s and Bandits. Qualifying is set for 5:30 p.m. with the first race scheduled for 7 p.m.

MIDWEST TOUR – The ASA Midwest Tour returns to Norway (MI) Speedway Saturday, June 21. It will be the Tour’s first return trip to the third-mile, paved oval in over a decade. Check out midwesttour.racing for more information.

KARTING KORNER – A regular points night of racing is on tap at Little Buckaroo Jr. Motorsports Park in Cecil Sunday, June 22. On track, driver introductions will take place for the R Box Wing division. Racing action gets underway at 2 p.m.

At GSR Kartway in Clintonville, it will be “Grip and Rip” Motorsports night. Karting and lawn mower racing action is set to commence at 7 p.m. Both tracks employ a karting rental program where parents can “test the waters” so to speak with their kids for karts. Reach out to the track’s through their respective Facebook pages via Messenger.
