KENNY RICHARDS WINS IN THREE CLASSES IN ’24 – FINAL REGIONAL DIRT FEATURE TOTALS

As the 2024  racing season wrapped up in northeastern Wisconsin, second-generation driver Kenny Richards stood out.

The Montello racer’s 10 feature wins on dirt ovals came in three different divisions. Richards scored five Unified Dirt street stock wins, four stock car victories and his biggest win of the year in the Terry Van Roy Memorial race at 141 Speedway in a grand national.

When the final numbers were added up, Richards was one of seven different drivers who picked up wins in more than one division. Denmark’s Cole Czarneski picked up 12 modified wins and four stock car victories.

Casco’s Benji LaCrosse’s wins included nine in a modified and five in a stock car. Brandon Schmitt of Beaver Dam pulled off the same fete with four stock car wins and three modified victories and even veteran R.M. Van Pay of Denmark picked up a solo win in both the modified and stock car classes, respectively.

Seymour’s Mike Mullen scored late model and stock car feature wins in 2024.

A pair of late model drivers also scored wins in other classes. Seymour’s Mike Mullen nabbed four late model victories including another 2 checkered flags in a stock car. Another Seymour racer, Jayden Schmidt, earned four victories – a pair each in late model and modified divisions.

In total, 12 different late model racers scored wins in the region this year while 38 different modified drivers earned victories in ’24. 43 stock car drivers found victory lane in ’24 while the sportmod division saw the highest number of feature winners with 47.

Unified Dirt street stock feature winners totaled 27 with 22 grand national drivers scoring wins. 28 four cylinder drivers earned feature wins regionally.

The modified, stock car and sportmod classes were IMCA sanctioned at Outagamie Speedway, 141 Speedway, Shawano Speedway & Beaver Dam Raceway.
