(Dunbar, Wisconsin) September 15 – The racing news and history website joeverdegan.com celebrates its three-year anniversary on September 15, 2023.
To help celebrate this milestone, the website’s content provider and author of seven books Joe Verdegan is offering race fans a FREE copy of his “baby” – his first book “Life In The Past Lane – a history of stock car racing in northeast Wisconsin from 1950-1980” with the purchase of any of Verdegan’s other titles through his website. The 2015 release was published with M & B Global Solutions.
This deal will begin on September 15th and run through the end of September and will also be in effect for Verdegan’s signing and car show at Richard’s in Dunbar Sunday, September 24. Fans ordering through the website will automatically get a free copy of “Life In The Past Lane” when they place an order on the website.
The website continues to cover the motorsports racing scene and the history of stock car racing in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan through many different avenues. Driver and promoter profiles can be found in “The Scoop” on the site and audio podcasts can be heard by clicking on the “On The Record” segments.
Snippets of racing history can be found in stories at “The Vault” and Verdegan’s motorsports marketing services, including monthly motorsports marketing mail tips and book sales can also be found at joeverdegan.com.
“The business plan from day one when we launched this was to have the content free for the readers and listeners to enjoy,” Verdegan said. “That is made possible by our great team of marketing partners who allow this content to be listened to and read without having the hassle of having a subscription. We’ll continue that business plan along with our pledge to provide fresh content 52 weeks out of the year.”

In addition to penning six motorsports-themed books, Verdegan also wrote the 2020 Amazon No. 1 best seller “The Reformatory – Tales From Green Bay’s maximum-security prison.” The book detailed stories of Verdegan’s nearly 27 years working the front lines as a correctional officer at the often-dangerous penitentiary.
Verdegan is currently working on another true crime book – “The Monfils 6 Case – 30 Years Later” which details the 1992 Green Bay paper mill death of Tom Monfils and the conviction of six men for his death three years later.
