Wisconsin motorsports author Joe Verdegan chronicles the tales of two of the Badger state’s legendary drivers – “The Bear” Roger Regeth and “The Tweety Bird” J.J. Smith.

Both drivers honed their skills in the USAC stock car scene in the ’60s and scored hundreds of feature wins and track titles in the ’70s.

Roger was often the villain and J.J. was often “The Babyface,” as these two colorful characters share their stories of their respective racing
careers.
