(18 CAR FEATURE TO PAY $125 TO START 30 LAP CONTEST)
(EAGLE RIVER, WI) June 27 – A $1,500 top prize is on the line for the stock car class Tuesday, July 4 at Eagle River Speedway for the Mark Zdroik Memorial race.
Quietwoods RV Sales and Service and the weekly stock car division sponsor Coffen Construction have stepped to the plate providing the boosted payout in the popular division.
Second place will receive $750 with the third-place finisher going home with $600. 18 cars will start the 30-lap feature, which in 2022 was won by Denmark’s Tom Brumlic.
A draw/redraw format will be utilized. For IMCA-style stock cars the Hoosier G-60 is the tire that must be used while WISSOTA street stocks must run the W-35 tire. The start time for this event has been pushed earlier to 7 p.m. with the draw cutoff set at 6:15 p.m.
The pit area opens at 3 p.m. Pit passes are $30.00 with a draw fee for the stock car class of $30.00. All non-qualifiers will go home with a guaranteed $100. The feature race will pay $125 to start.
The balance of the track’s weekly lineup will also be in action, include the Chef Rene B modifieds, Sweetwater late models, Eagle River Dock and Lift street stocks, Halsey Fab/Dan’s Service 300 micro sprints and JD’s Archery and Paintball 600 micro sprints.
A fireworks display will cap off the night’s activities.
