(Dunbar, WI) – Marinette County best-selling author and Dunbar, Wisconsin resident Joe Verdegan has announced a three-date book signing tour and author talk he’ll host in the month of March.
Verdegan has penned seven books including the 2020 Amazon No. 1 best seller “The Reformatory – Tales From Green Bay’s Maximum-Security Prison.” The book details stories from Verdegan’s near 27 years at working the front lines at the Allouez prison.
Verdegan’s first stop will take place in Plymouth, Wisconsin Thursday, March 16 as part of the Saloon Stories “Crooks and Spooks” series at Chris & Sue’s Place. The talk, which is scheduled to take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will center around GBCI, its history and some of the more “haunting” tales that have surfaced from the near 130-year-old maximum-security prison located in Allouez, Wisconsin.
The GPS address for Chris & Sue’s Place is W3820 County Road C in Plymouth, Wisconsin 53073.
Two days later Saturday, March 18 Verdegan will host a signing at the Pembine School in Pembine, Wisconsin as part of the school’s annual Spring Craft Fair. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Craft Fair serves as a fundraiser for the Pembine Class of 2025. The GPS address for the school is N18775 Sauld St, Pembine, Wisconsin 54156.
The following Saturday, March 25 Verdegan will travel to Clintonville, Wisconsin for the second annual FanFest at the Fire & Iron Gathering at the former Shopko building. The show will feature a wide variety of race cars on display, including several motorsports-related vendors and local racetrack representatives.
A chili cookoff and cornhole tournament will also be a part of the fun. The signing will take place from noon to 3 p.m. The GPS address is 291 S. Main Street, Clintonville, Wisconsin 54929.
In addition, at Plymouth Verdegan will provide updates to the latest book he has been working on, which will be titled “The Monfils 6 Case – 30 Years Later.” The book will dig into the 1992 death of Green Bay paper mill worker Tom Monfils, the six men who were convicted of his death in 1995 and the aftermath of the case decades later.
All of Verdegan’s motorsports titles will be available at discounted prices at all three of the signings.
