DESPITE MOTHER NATURE, RICHARD’S OF DUNBAR CAR SHOW PUSHED ON
(best appearing awards doled out in four categories – more than two dozen machines took part)
(DUNBAR, WI) – Despite a gloomy forecast and a handful of pesky showers in the early afternoon several hundred people from Wisconsin and Michigan turned out along with more than two dozen cars, trucks, bikes and race cars for the first annual car & truck show and brat fry at Richard’s in Dunbar Sunday, September 25.
Awards went out to best appearing in the four different categories at the show: car, truck, motorcycle and race car.
Taking top honors in the truck class was Dave Martin of Amberg, Wisconsin. Martin showed off his 1950 Chevrolet, maroon colored pickup truck.
It was another Amberg resident who took home the hardware in the motorcycle class. “Bear” Schwaller earned best of class with his 2012 Harley Davidson Heritage softail bike.
It was a blue and white ’55 Chevy which earned the nod as best appearing in the car category as Vulcan, Michigan’s Steve Hadden hauled home the best appearing trophy.
In the race car class 2022 Norway Speedway Auto Value super stock champion Anthony Schiefelbein earned the best appearing in his number 74 racer.
Trophies were sponsored by Richard’s of Dunbar and Joe Verdegan of joeverdegan.com. Richard’s owners Randy and Lynne Sippel want to thank everyone who turned out for the first show and plans are already underway to have the show and brat fry return in 2023 even bigger and better.
