ROOKIE SCHMIDT SOARS IN SEYMOUR FALL BRAWL – WEEKEND UPDATE & UPDATED FEATURE TOTALS

Jayden Schmidt put the exclamation point on a banner rookie year in the IMCA modified class Saturday night at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour.
The third-generation racer picked up the division win at the third-mile, clay oval at the Outagamie County Fairgrounds. The feature win was Schmidt’s seventh of the year. Schmidt has also picked up the IMCA state championship points battle as well.
177 cars took part in seven classes in the seven division show which capped off the season.
SCHNEIDER BOYS SHINE AT GRAVITY – Hometown brothers Steve and Tom Schneider each scored feature wins at the season ending weekend of racing at Gravity Park USA in Chilton, Wisconsin Saturday. Steve grabbed the A modified feature while Tom emerged triumphant in the sport modified division.
LUEPKE BACK AT SHAWANO – As many expected Brad Luepke announced this week he will return to Shawano Speedway in 2023 handling the promotional duties of the half-mile, clay oval.
Luepke recently announced a pre season car show in March, 2023 in Clintonville among the activities associated with promoting the speedway.

REICHENBERGER TOPS JEFFERSON TRUCKS – Appleton, Wisconsin’s Brandon Reichenberger picked up the Midwest Truck Series win at Jefferson Speedway Friday, September 16. The victory was the second of 2022 in the series for the third-generation racer. The next series event is slated for Oktoberest weekend Saturday, October 8 at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin.
TUNDRA TO THE DELLS – The TUNDRA super late model series swings into Dells Raceway Park for the series championship day of racing at the Carl Wegner 100 Sunday, September 25.
Gleason, Wisconsin hotshoe Justin Mondeik holds a slim six point leader over the team of John Beale and Dalton Zehr heading into the inal race. Zehr will pilot the team car in the series finale at DRP.
Qualifying is slated for 12:30 p.m. with the first green flag set to fly at 2 p.m.
TREEK STRONG CREEK CLASSIC – 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wisconsin will host it’s 13th annual Treek Strong Creek Classic September 22-24.
Racing action gets underway Thursday at 7 p.m., with racing Friday and Saturday starting at 4 p.m. both days.

(Tracks covered and included: 141, Shawano, Seymour, Luxemburg, Sturgeon Bay, Gravity Park USA & Plymouth. When a northeastern Wisconsin driver wins out of town we’ll also include those totals as well including Dirt Kings series winners).
