KINROSS SPEEDPARK HOSTS “RACING IN THE 906” BOOK SIGNING WITH MOTORSPORTS AUTHOR JOE VERDEGAN SEPTEMBER 10
(Signing part of final round of two-day Upper Peninsula Triple Crown Series)
(Dunbar, WI) – Motorsports author and Norway (MI) Speedway track announcer Joe Verdegan will host a long-awaited book signing of his 2019 release “Racing In The 906” Saturday, September 10 at Kinross Speedpark at the Chippewa County Fairgrounds near the Canadian border in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
The book features racing several decades worth of history in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula as well as the Canadian Soo region including the history the quarter-mile, paved oval in Chippewa County that was constructed in 1996. “We’re excited to head up to Kinross for this triple-crown event,” Verdegan said. “Between scheduling conflicts the summer after the book was released and then battling Covid 19 restrictions we weren’t able to get up that way. We’re looking forward to bringing the “Racing In The 906” book to the great race fans of the Soo region.”
The “Racing In The 906” book contains chapters covering the history of the building of the track at Kinross in the mid-1990’s including a listing of past champions from the track dating back to that first season in 1996.
The signing will take place Saturday behind the grandstands from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST. All of Verdegan’s other six titles will also be on sale at discounted prices.
Two full days of racing are scheduled with racing getting underway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Saturday. The GPS address for Kinross Speedpark is 6325 W. Fair Road, Kinross, MI 49788.
