Green Bay native R.M. “Buck” Van Pay scored a popular IMCA modified feature win at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wisconsin Wednesday, July 20.
Van Pay is one of the longest running competitors in the division in northeastern Wisconsin since it was introduced to the region in the mid-1980’s. Van Pay beat a pair of second-generation IMCA modified racers to the checkers – Mike Mullen and Jared Siefert.
With his victory Van Pay moved into second place among Wisconsin’s all-time sanctioned IMCA modified feature winners. Both the veteran wheelmen sit two behind Luxemburg native Benji LaCrosse who leads the way currently with 131 sanctioned feature flags.
Most of the top ten all-time winners remain active in 2022 with several of them earning feature wins in 2022.
