TUNDRA SUPER LATE MODELS SLATED FOR NORWAY SPEEDWAY VISIT IN ‘22

(Saturday, July 16 special marks tour’s first appearance at Michigan oval since 2014)

(Norway, MI) – Norway (MI) Speedway’s 2022 schedule recently received a pleasant surprise when officials from the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series announced the Tour would host an event at the third-mile, paved oval at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds Saturday, July 16.

The race will pay a minimum of $2,500 to the winner.

The last time the tour headed north of the Wisconsin border was in 2014 when Dalton Zehr, driving the familiar 119 car for Gene Coleman, scored the victory. “We’re really excited to be heading back to Norway,” said series announcer and promoter Matt Panure. “You can feel the history when you walk through the gates and hear the rumble of the cars off the old school, wooden grandstands. It is one of the most unique facilities in the Midwest and should be a bucket list place for both racers and fans alike.”

The 2021 TUNDRA series champion was Riley Stenjem of Stoughton, Wisconsin and he will be back to defend his series crown.

There will be no weekly racing at the track the Friday night prior July 15, which is the speedway’s normal night for racing. The tracks other divisions will be in action including Auto Value Super Stocks, 141 Auto Stock Cars and MC Signs and Graphics 4 Bangers.

Starting times and other details, including additional bonuses for the drivers, are expected to be released down the road.
