DUNBAR RETURNS TO EAGLE RIVER, SCORES $1,000 LATE MODEL PAYDAY
(EAGLE RIVER, WI) August 3 – After staying away from the track for several weeks Marinesco, Michigan’s Marcus Dunbar scored paydirt.
Dunbar sprinted from his pole position and dodged a handful of cautions to win the late model feature at Eagle River Speedway here Tuesday night. The win was worth $1,000.

The win came as sort of redemption for Dunbar. Earlier in the B mod feature Dunbar appeared to be headed to victory while leading. However, he tangled with a lapped car and was charged with the yellow. Jason Zdroik won the caution plagued event, where Dunbar placed 10th in the B modified feature.
Hometown racer David Blackberg scored his third feature flag of the year in the stock car class. In doing so Blackberg took over the division point lead. Eagle River’s Ryan Brown copped the street stock feature win.

Boulder Junction’s Mya Towne won her second straight 600 micro feature while the 300 micro sprint features were won by Kaeden Bethel and Alexander Kniewel.
Racing resumes next Tuesday, August 10 as the third and final round of the B Mod Triple Crown Challenge takes place. Eagle River racers Jason Zdroik and Bruce Belland won the first two races of the series, respectively.
A $1,000 top prize awaits next Tuesday nights B Mod race winner with a $1,500 payday going to the point champion of the series.
