SCHIEFELBEIN STOMPS NORWAY SUPER STOCK FOES – MONDEIK STAYS UNBEATEN IN LM

Pembine, Wisconsin’s Anthony Schiefelbein extended his point lead by winning the super stock feature at Norway (MI) Speedway June 10.

SCHIEFELBEIN STOMPS NORWAY SUPER STOCK FOES – MONDEIK WINS THIRD STRAIGHT LATE MODEL MAIN
(Norway, MI) May June 10 – Pembine, Wisconsin’s Anthony Schiefelbein grabbed the lead on lap 13 and cruised to victory through a pair of late cautions to win his second straight 30 lap super stock feature at Norway Speedway Friday night.
By doing so Schiefelbein extended his point lead in the division.
Meanwhile late model fast qualifier Justin Mondeik of Gleason, Wisconsin wasted little time getting to the front. The current point leader snatched the lead on lap four and carefully sifted his way through lapped traffic to score his third straight win here of the season.
Former track champion Joe Ostermann of Norway scored a close victory over Kingsford’s Zachary Krans in a contest that featured two rows of three wide action for much of the event.
In sport truck action the Kingsford brother tandem of Brad and Brent Barglind continued their domination of the class with Brad beating Brent at the line to score the feature win. Fab 4 fast qualifier Brett Ayotte of Hermansville charged from the deep in the field and survived multiple caution flags and lapped cars to score the feature win.
During the heat races history was made as for the first time in track history a brother and sister scored heat race wins. Peshtigo drivers Stewart and Sophie Hornick each copped heat victories.
Next Friday night June 17 racing resumes with the action getting underway at 7 p.m. Spectator eliminators will join the track’s regular divisions in action.
